We are loving the murals. Staff are involved (in re-hanging) the fruit on the trees as it is being “picked” multiple times a day and residents and their families are loving them as conversation pieces.
Thank you again so much!

Interactive Murals

A breath of fresh air with purposeful activity

We love making art work! So many of our murals are multipurpose. It starts with an uplifting visual that reunites residents-in-care with nature or everyday scenes that memories are made of such as kids playing baseball, farmyard scenes or a tree that changes with the seasons. Colour and contrast are also important considerations for people living with a form of dementia as visual perception is often affected with the condition. Then, we do our best to incorporate an activity - fruit picking, flower arranging or…something else. These visuals can also be a destination for visiting family on strolls down the hallways with their loved ones.

Farm Life Discussion Board

A Farm Life discussion board - Measuring 10 feet wide X 4 feet high, to be placed above chair rails in hallways

This colourful compilation of Farm related images serves to stir up memories for residents in Memory Care. Especially those from farming communities. As with all of our murals, it serves more than one purpose. This board is intended to:

  • engage residents on their daily walks in hallways.

  • provide a destination for visiting family members to engage with their loved ones when conversation may be difficult.

  • be used as a tool for staff to distract or divert a resident who is having a bad moment, by directing them to the board and asking questions about their experiences on the farm.

Café Façade

A couple of colour options and the choice of either “interactive” flower boxes for flower arranging, or alternatively, a fixed image of flowers in a box. Great as a backdrop for a gathering area - just add tables and chairs!

Post Office

As with many of our murals, the size of the Post Office can be altered (somewhat) to accommodate a client’s space.

Our post office mural is a happy addition to creating the “Town Centre”/Community feel that so many care homes are striving for in order to engage their residents. We know the creative Recreation Therapists out there will come up with some great interactive programs to make the most of this activity backdrop.

Only have a small space?

Introducing the Farmer’s Market Stall

NEW!

Many care homes are creating community settings to bring colour, joy and memories to communal spaces.

This “Farmer’s Market Stall” wrap is a great addition to these scenarios.

It comes with the rustic Farmer’s Market sign to complete the look!

Create you own Market Square

Many care communities are situated in small towns or rural communities. Many immigrants from the “old world” have their roots in farming and agricultural settings. Market stalls like this revive memories and offer a “fresh air” feeling to a space - why not paint the upper wall a sky blue to accommodate?!

Included

Our rustic “Farmer’s Market sign. (Also on wrap material).
