More options for a “Man Zone” in Memory Care
Man Zone Posters on gray brick for maximum impact on bright or dark coloured walls. Create a “place for the guys” in Memory Care.
Café Murals and Garden Walls
Café murals with adjoining garden walls as a backdrop in communal areas of Memory Care and Long Term Care Settings help to bring community to residents for whom access to outdoor destinations is limited.
Laundry Day Backdrop
“Purposeful activities” such as everyday household chores can be beneficial for their residents-in-care, living with a form of dementia. To support this activity, Creative Art Co has created a series of images (wall wraps) that will support the “cueing” of residents who may struggle to stay on task. This backdrop includes images of a washer and dryer, shelves containing laundry products, laundry baskets with towels and iron, an ironing board, a window showing hanging clothes, and finally a sign indicating “Laundry Day” with a retro-depiction of laundry tasks being performed. Care homes may then make their own arrangements according to the space they have available.
Beach Therapy!
Our Client in administration of this new Adult Day Centre was looking for a particular theme for her main recreation area. This is an open concept room, so the imagery had to “agree” and who doesn’t like a day at the beach? The visuals alone can take the chill off a winter day or enhance and complement the sun of the summer. Here the feeling is always warm and inviting!
Inspiration! Our Client’s Project
Our client creates an inviting neighborhood for her Memory Care Residents.
Entranceways
Entrance doors to Memory and Long Term Care communities for the look and feel of home.
Nursery Backdrop
A “backdrop” that supports “baby doll therapy” and child care activities , such as clothes folding, knitting, reminiscing and story telling can keep residents involved for longer periods of time. The comforting “homelike” atmosphere is perfect for recalling those happy early memories of baby care and family life.
New Selection of Memory Care Resident “Front Doors”
Deliberately retro or traditional so that residents identify with that memorable time.
Murals for Memory Care
Home should never be dull and that is especially true in Memory Care Community living. We have a vision to make Memory Care/dementia care Homes comfortable yet stimulating places to live.
Designing for Dementia
Tub Rooms in Hospitals and Long Term Care facilities are designed for efficient and safe function, as they should be. However, the equipment - lifts, extra-sized tubs with hoses and dials - as necessary as they are, can be intimidating and unfamiliar to the patient/resident. Add to this the complication of dementia which often causes a person to be disoriented as to time and location and it is no wonder that many are averse to bath time.
With this in mind, we have designed a number of "wall wraps" on a durable, laminated (but non-glare) material with imagery that offers the "look and feel" of home.
A Place for the Guys
We have been asked several times "what murals do you have for our gentleman residents?"
